Original gouache painting of a pink candy heart reading “why don’t we try not to break our hearts” on a 5x5 wood panel. I added super sparkly pink glitter to the heart — transparent so the color variation of my painting shows through — and sealed the the panel with a couple of layers of glossy artist-grade resin. The lettering is between layers of resin, which gives it a slight drop shadow and adds a dimensional effect to the piece. As a final touch, I set a few tiny rhinestones into the top layer of resin.

7/8” deep wood panel comes with a sawtooth hanger on the back but can easily stand on its own if you prefer.
